A nice place to have something to drink and eat while watching the folklore on the main street. The food is fresh and cheap. Salads, pasta, soups, mackerel, hamburgers and smoothies are served here.

Blue Talay is a popular restaurant located on Mae Ramphung Beach, close to the VIP Chain Resort. The restaurant is run by a French man and his Thai wife. It serves both Thai dishes and European. Many of our guests in the VIP Chain Resort recommend this restaurant. Price levels are slightly higher on the European cuisine than several other restaurants.

On the main street of Ban phe there are 7-Eleven. Outside the smaller 7-Eleven near Makro, there is a lady who sells chicken kebab. For 50 THB you get a really good kebab. The Thai themselves are often used to really strong food. To the kebab, they often choose a lot of chili, ketchup, sweet mayonnaise with a little garlic sauce. Select the sauces and you will get a kebab that suits your taste.

A pearl of the Ban Phe Market is Satay Spatter on Pork. You will get peanut sauce for dipping and vegetables. The vegetables consist of cucumber, onions and chili. Satay stands on the food section of the market, in the corner of the Makro Way. Cheap and good! A freshly cooked corn will enhances the taste.

You just have to step out of the VIP Chain Resort to find Pama’s restaurant. Pama’s serves Thai food and some Western dishes. They speak a little English and maintain a high level of service. During the high season you will find a mix of foreign tourists and Thai people. The prices are OK, and the food is good. A personal favorite is their prawns with garlic, or spaghetti with meat sauce. They also serve breakfast.
