Most of the area is dense forest. The west is a steep cliff. The east and south are clean white sandy beach which good for swimming. The Eastern of the island perfect for both snorkeling and scuba. The island’s prominent feature is its natural cape gap in the middle of the rock mountain with the sea through. Most of the tourist prefer a day trips to visit the island and then back to Koh Samet.

One of the highights of visiting Prasae in Rayong is the 2,400 acre mangrove forest along the coastline. This project is not only important to prevent land erosion but is also the source of income for local people who fish here for crab, shrimp and other marine animals. The mangrove also plays an important part in local ecotourism due to the 2.6km long boardwalk. The walk starts at HTMS Prasae and takes you through the forest and along the coastline. The highlights of the walk is Tung Prong Thong which means golden field in Thai.
